Meet the Principal

Welcome,

My name is Marcie Dryden. I have been a dedicated educator in the Royal Oak School District for over 25 years and have loved every minute of it! It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as the building administrator at Helen Keller, an authorized International Baccalaureate school. I look forward to leading Keller in ways that fosters continued growth in teaching, learning, community engagement, and social development.

As principal, I have the following goals:

All 3-5th grade students will meet the projected RIT scores based on the 50% bell curve on the NWEA in the area of math.

As we move forward, we will continue to support each and every child, with the belief that students, teachers, and staff are all active learners. Each individual contributes to our strength and success as a whole.

Vision, Mission and Belief Statement:

Vision: A community of excellence!

Mission: The mission of Helen Keller Elementary School is to establish and maintain an educational community that empowers all students to become principled, independent inquirers who are socially responsible global citizens.

Beliefs and Values: Our school's beliefs and values are closely aligned with the principles and values of the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organizations). www.IBO.org

Thank you for the opportunity to serve the students, families and teachers of Keller Elementary and Royal Oak Schools. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime by email at [email protected] or at the school office at (248)542-6500.

Sincerely,

Marcie Dryden
